David is an actor, director/choreographer, and educator currently living in Atlanta, GA after calling NYC home for 13+ years. He specializes in musical theatre on "both sides of the table" and truly loves the collaborative creative process that this medium is known for. Theatrically speaking...he LOVES drama! 

 

As an performer he has performed on Broadway at the historic Palace Theater (Annie revival:  Dance Captain & "Rooster" u/s), on National TV in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (pictured, 1st from right in back row), in multiple National Tours (Something Rotten, Joseph...DreamcoatHairspray, Fame), and at regional theaters across the U.S. (The Alliance Theatre, Northern Stage, Aurora Theatre, Forestburgh Playhouse, St. Michael's Playhouse).

As a choreographer, and under the mentorship of Andy Blankenbuehler (Tony Award winning choreographer of Hamilton, Cats revival, In the Heights, Bring it On!), he helped set the International Tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (pictured) performing across the nation and eventually in Tokyo, Japan. 

Also as choreographer, David had the privilege to create movement for original shows such as Peter, Who?: The Unauthorized Spider Man Musical at the 2018 NY Musicals Festival ('Best Choreography' nomination, 'Best Book' winner), Thankskilling: the Musical at the 2014 Festival of the Offensive ('Best Musical' award winner) and Nightfall on Miranga Island as part of the 2012 International Fringe Festival ('Encore Series Extension' winner).

As choreographer & director/choreographer he has collaborated with The Gainesville Theatre Alliance (a combination of University of North Georgia & Brenau University students along with Equity guest artists from Atlanta and New York) on 6 productions including Legally Blonde (pictured), Once on this Island (pictured), Hairspray, The Wedding Singer, Singin' in the RainThoroughly Modern Millie.

As a director, he has assisted original creatives on the National Tour of Hairspray as well as the production at the Tony Award winning Papermill. He was also assistant director on the original play The Irish Curse at Soho Playhouse.

As an educator he has taught workshops all over the country at high schools, community theatre's, and various arts organizations and recently choreographed the world premier TYA musical Hans Christian Andersen (pictured) at the illustrious Nashville Children's Theatre. He is currently on faculty at City Springs Theatre's Conservatory program and is helping create programming for middle school and high schoolers preparing them for a life in professional theatre with an emphasis on technical skills, solid work ethic, and creatively challenging work.

David is excited for another phase of his life as a director/choreographer in the booming Atlanta metro area and enjoys finding new ways to tell both new and old stories.
