David is an actor, director, choreographer, and educator (and proud theatre nerd) currently based in Chicago after 13+ years in NYC. He specializes in musical theatre on both sides of the table and thrives on collaboration, storytelling, and joyful creativity.

As a performer, David has appeared on Broadway at the historic Palace Theatre, on national television in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, on multiple national tours (Something Rotten!, Joseph…, Hairspray), and at regional theaters across the country including The Alliance, Marriott, City Springs, Northern Stage, Aurora, and Forestburgh Playhouse.

As a director and choreographer, he has assisted original creatives on Hairspray (National Tour and Paper Mill Playhouse) and under the mentorship of Andy Blankenbuehler, he helped set the international tour of Joseph…Technicolor Dreamcoat for the U.S. and Tokyo. His original work has been seen at NYMF, Fringe festivals, and beyond, earning nominations and awards along the way.

David has directed and choreographed productions ranging from Mary Poppins and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical to multiple productions of Christmas Canteen, a timeless and completely original yearly tradition for Aurora Theatre's MainStage season. He also collaborated on six productions with The Gainesville Theatre Alliance including Legally Blonde, Singin' in the Rain, and Hairspray. As an educator, he has taught workshops nationwide and choreographed the world premiere TYA musical Hans Christian Andersen at Nashville Children’s Theatre.

David is thrilled to call Chicago home and can’t wait to keep making smart, joyful, captivating art with others. For more credits, visit his acting résumé or choreo pages.
