A very proud and self-proclaimed theatre nerd, David is an actor, director, choreographer, and educator currently living in Chicago after calling NYC home for 13+ years (and Atlanta for 5). He specializes in musical theatre on "both sides of the table" and truly loves the collaborative creative process of the genre.
As an actor he has performed on Broadway at the historic Palace Theater (Annie revival: Dance Captain & "Rooster" u/s), on National TV in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (pictured), in multiple National Tours (Something Rotten, Joseph...Dreamcoat, Hairspray), and at regional theaters across the U.S. (The Alliance Theatre, City Springs Theatre, Northern Stage, Aurora Theatre, Forestburgh Playhouse).
As a director, he has assisted original creatives on the National Tour of Hairspray as well as the production at the Tony Award winning Papermill Playhouse. He was also assistant director to Matt Lenz on the original play The Irish Curse at Soho Playhouse.
As a choreographer, under the mentorship of Andy Blankenbuehler (Tony Award winning choreographer of Hamilton as well as Cats, In the Heights, Bring it On!), he helped set the International Tour of Joseph...Technicolor Dreamcoat (pictured) performing across the nation and eventually in Tokyo, Japan.
David also had the privilege to create movement for original shows such as Peter, Who?: The Unauthorized Spider Man Musical (pictured) at NYMF ('Best Choreography' nomination, 'Best Book' winner), Thankskilling: the Musical at the 2014 Festival of the Offensive ('Best Musical' award winner) and Nightfall on Miranga Island as part of the 2012 International Fringe Festival ('Encore Series Extension' winner).
As director/choreographer he has taken on large-scale productions such as Mary Poppins and most recently, Beautiful: the Carole King Musical, both at Aurora Theatre in Atlanta, GA.
He also had a 6 production collaboration with The Gainesville Theatre Alliance (with University students along with Equity guest artists from Atlanta and New York) on shows Legally Blonde (pictured), Once on this Island (pictured), Hairspray, The Wedding Singer, Singin' in the Rain and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
As an educator he has taught workshops all over the country at high schools, community theatre's, and various arts organizations and recently choreographed the world premier TYA musical Hans Christian Andersen (pictured) at the illustrious Nashville Children's Theatre.
